For companies using separate fields for each of the auxiliary engines (AEs), there is now an option to group those fields together into a table.
For further information on how to configure AE tables, refer to the last section (configuration) of this article.
Display and edit
This section shows how information about auxiliary engines can be grouped into a table for easier viewing and editing. When category with AE tables is expanded, it shows one column for each auxiliary engine based on the Number of auxiliary engines field. It is therefore a good practise to keep that field close to the AE table that always appears at the top of its category.
Note that nothing is saved until the Save button that appears below the table has been pressed.
Configuration
Configuration of AE tables can be accessed from the Auxiliary Engines tables link on the Ship profile config section of the Settings page. User must have Administrator rights to access and work with the configuration.
There are few things that are good to keep in mind when changing view of auxiliary engines to table:
- In both print view as well as Change tracking, the fields will keep original names as defined in Ship profile config and not the name defined according to table below. It is therefore a good idea to keep the names as similar as possible to avoid misunderstanding.
- Maximum number of auxiliary engines is set per company (default 5) and can be changed if needed.
The top part of the settings page gives a toggle to include or exclude the usage of AE tables along with a dropdown to decide to which category the table should be applied.
Note that when an AE table is added to a specific category, all the underlying fields used in the table are moved to the category in question. If you then decide to stop using AE tables, the fields will remain in that category unless they are manually moved to other categories by editing each of the fields.
Below the settings part, the configuration of the AE table is shown. The configuration displays which fields are used for each of the tables' cells.
The configuration of the AE tables can only be edited by Ankeri. Please contact us at support@ankeri.net if you need to make any changes to the configuration. That includes changes of fields use and addition/removal of rows in the table.
